Karachi United’s vision has always been
premised around its one greatest objective i.e.
to have players of outstanding quality emerge
from
Pakistan thereby resulting in Pakistani players
featuring in the top events of the world. Our
vision is to be the best on and off the field.
We want our players to represent not just the
Club but ouir national teams and eventually we
want to see the Pakistan team grace such events
as the Asian Games, Olympics and the World Cup.
Our mandate has and continues to remain:
§
Promoting football especially at the grassroots level;
§
Community development through sports; and
§
Professionalising the way sports are organized and run in
Pakistan
Hence, what is our vision? It is to consolidate
and expand our Club; to continue to organize
leagues/tournaments such as the KASB Premier
League; to encourage the local and governmental
authorities to make more football grounds and to
lease them out to local Clubs; to change the
perception of football in Pakistan i.e. not to
take the sport away from the poor but to invest
in it by giving them a chance to become more
active members of society; to conduct free
coaching clinics; to provide scholarships to the
"inner city" youth through football; to be in a
position to erect/raise top quality football
stadiums; to fill these stadiums with fans
typified by the KU families who are fanatically
behind their teams; to give the elitist youth
something better than the drink/drugs and
degeneration culture that they are embroiled in;
to make our Club the top team in Pakistan; Asia,
the world; to build character through sport and
to counsel our youth on future careers; to set
up schools of excellence and ultimately a fully
functional state of the art KUFC Football
Academy imparting both academic and football
education; to bring top quality coaches to
Pakistan to coach our coaches/players; to enable
a Pakistani player to kick a Sialkot made
football in the World Cup.
Whilst we are already doing some of the above;
what do we need to complete our Vision; some
